Jordan University College (JUCo) on 24 October 2026 held a stakeholders' consultative meeting at the Jordan University College, Multipurpose Hall to gather expert views and recommendations on the reviewed and developed curricula for its Certificate and Ordinary Diploma programmes.
The meeting brought together various stakeholders from academic institutions, workplaces, professional fields and other relevant sectors to assess the relevance and adequacy of the curricula in responding to current and emerging labour-market needs.
The consultation focused on Ordinary Diploma programmes at NTA Levels 4-6 in Computing and Information Communication, Records, Archives and Information Management, Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and Accountancy.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ayubu Churi from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), who guided stakeholders through the consultation and discussions on the reviewed curricula.
The stakeholders provided their expert opinions on the knowledge, skills and competencies expected of graduates, with particular emphasis on aligning academic programmes with workplace requirements and developments in professional practice.
Representatives from teaching and academic institutions, workplaces and specialised professional fields shared their perspectives on how the curricula could be strengthened to ensure that graduates are adequately prepared for employment and further professional development.
The consultation also provided an opportunity for internal and external stakeholders to assess the programmes from academic, professional and labour-market perspectives. Their recommendations are expected to contribute to further improvement of the curricula and enhance the quality and relevance of JUCo's diploma programmes.
The stakeholders' consultative meeting is part of JUCo's ongoing efforts to ensure that its academic programmes remain responsive to the needs of society, industry and the labour market while maintaining appropriate academic and professional standards.
